PASTOR’S CORNER – I begin with mixed emotions as I prepare to write
my last article for the newsletter. I must take a moment and thank
each of you for the privilege of serving you as your Pastor over the last
6 1/2 years. We have witnessed together the hand of God over and
over. He continues to work and I pray that each of you will continue
to spreading the Gospel through-out the world. I could share with
you all the things that have taken place over the years, but I am
more excited about what is ahead. We are poised to move ahead in
all areas of ministry. As your pulpit selection committee begins to
work be sure to pray for them and our church. Seek out the man
God would be preparing for us. The urgency of the gospel to reach
the world today has never been so great. Our community must
know that God is at the heart of our message.

WOM NOTES – Surely God is good even in our darkest days.
His Word assures us. He knows. Many around are experiencing dark
days, let’s be obedient and cry out repeating their names and needs.
Women you never cease to amaze me. The dinners, the compassion
and love flows without ceasing. Continue to amaze me in support of
the only fund raiser we do, our Yard Sale May 1st. We have a good
variety, but can always use any donation you might have. Clean and
gently used ‘stuff’ is needed. W.O.M will meet May 6th at the church,
7:00 pm.

BAPTIST MEN –> Your help is needed as we move into some
days of nice weather. Some things we as men of the church can do
and some things we cannot. Our entryways need some TLC in the
form of ‘manual’ washing, that is, soap and brush/rag; power washing
would be too damaging to the paint. Also, painting of the handrails is
needed. We will talk about a date and time soonest.
Bob Makey, Baptist Men Director

Notable Notes
The Youth Director Search Committee has been disbanded; our
attention priority is now directed toward a search for a new Pastor
with the resignation of Pastor Frank. Our sincere thanks and
appreciation are directed toward Frank for his leadership of this flock
and we wish him success in all his endeavors.
A Pastor Search Committee has been appointed.
The Health Fair/Blood Drive was a huge success! People from
all over came to participate by donating blood, checking their blood
pressure, blood sugar, and cholesterol. Fifty(50) pints of blood was
donated! At least 70 people came, some of whom were unable to
donate blood because of one reason or another, but they participated
in the other activities. hanks to all who worked so diligently to make
this event a success. Now we have a new goal to strive for at next
year’s Health Fair. (Input by Cathy Willis)
Folks, it is spring cleaning time which means cleaning out closets,
cabinets, etc. Don’t throw the stuff away that you want to dispose of,
instead put it aside for our Spring Yard Sale. This will be held May 1st,
which is the 1st Saturday in May. This is a good cause – It is WOMs
fund raiser for special projects. Start gathering things now so you
will have your donations ready. (Input by Cathy Willis)
